Students enrolled at Rory Williamson School of Dance enjoy all of the benefits of a professional dance academy, in a friendly and supportive environment.
Creativity is encouraged and effort is recognised, while still offering the discipline and rewards of strong technique and sound teaching.
Classes generally follow set syllabus or learning strategies, with an aim to moving students progressively through their dance education.
Open classes and teacher’s choreography is incorporated to support dancing goals, enhance and promote creativity and diversity, and help to achieve and maintain requirements of each level of study, and to prepare for events such as performances. All classes are planned across the spectrum of the teaching term and year.
Students are encouraged to enjoy their time in class, tempered by the discipline required in the dance studio.
Emphasis is placed on Safe Dance practices and up to date skills knowledge, with teachers attending regular Professional Development workshops and maintaining qualifications and standards.
Teachers demonstrate and share a passion for the art of dance and are dedicated to making it accessible and affordable.
Classes cater to both the recreational student and the aspiring dancer and performance opportunities and examinations and assessments are offered.
Classes are available for students from Kinder to Adult.
